Hazing Policy

SIGMA LAMBDA GAMMA STRICTLY FORBIDS HAZING

Hazing is defined as any act or tradition that endangers the physical, mental or emotional well-being of any member. Requests or suggestions to violate any university, city, county, state, or national law are included in this definition. Mental or physical degradation of any member is considered hazing by SLG. Requests of personal or menial tasks regardless of intent or consent are forbidden.

Alcohol Policy

The purposes of the policy on Alcoholic Beverages are to establish certain basic restrictions on chapter/colony use of alcoholic beverages and to define the relationship between Sigma Lambda Gamma National Sorority and its chapter/colonies with respect to control over the use of alcoholic beverages at local Sigma Lambda Gamma events. Although the sorority does impose certain limitations and requirements as to the use of alcohol by chapter/colonies, the role of the sorority in this area of chapter/colony activity is quite limited.

New Member Requirements

>Must maintain at least a 2.75 cumulative and semester GPA
